Ed talked about Christmas Parade

Lavina mentioned Rick Myers at Rec dept to send out flyers

Karen Doom may be visiting board meeting she sells on ebay

She has donated approx 80 dollars via ebay charity  bank acct is 396.00

Have not filed taxes for 08 or 09.  Ed will do.

08 donations were ~2000.00  09 were ~400.00

So far this year not many teachers asking for money.

Ed says some teachers spending on money for small projects…maybe teachers could anonymously recommend other teachers to receive money.

Ed gave out fliers for writing contest but not many participants.

Lavinia suggested contacting PTAs  Ed says board members could be more involved….talking about smart kids.

Movie series as a fund raiser…could use municipal bldg for free as long as it doesn’t interfere with paid events.

Ed was contacted by Judy Whaley from North Augusta Chamber.

Area 2 Teacher appreciation banquet may 13   They might want us to participate, want us to take pictures

Arthur says have a prop to take pic with……meeting march 23 at 330  Ed to attend to talk about Smart Kids Role.

Ed didn’t bring minutes from last meeting

We sponsored NA Science Olympiad Fun night. Ed concerned about too much NAE participation. Need to get other schools to participate more.

Arthur presented prizes to winners writing contest at North Augusta Elementary

Arthur asked should we expand into Ga?  Then everyone agreed we don’t have many contacts over there and would rather get it “roaring” here first

Jasmine festival coming up.  We didn’t get a spot yet this year.  Ed has a popcorn machine. Lavinia asked do we have a cotton candy machine?

Lavinia going to ask High school if they could get students to volunteer for running popcorn and cotton candy at Jessamine festival.
